From downtown Terre Haute, start at the Vigo County Courthouse located at 501 Cherry St. Head south on Cherry St towards Wabash Ave. Turn right onto Wabash Ave and continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with S 9th St. Turn left onto S 9th St and walk for another 0.3 miles. After crossing the bridge over the Wabash River, continue straight as S 9th St becomes S 7th St. Keep walking for about 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with S Frye St. Turn right onto S Frye St and walk for about 0.2 miles. The Wabash & Erie Canal Lock will be on your left at 5329 S Frye St.

From downtown Terre Haute, walk to the nearest bus stop on Wabash Ave. Take the #2 bus towards the South side. Ride for approximately 20 minutes, getting off at the stop closest to S Frye St. After exiting the bus, walk south on S 7th St for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with S Frye St. Turn right onto S Frye St and continue walking for another 0.2 miles. The Wabash & Erie Canal Lock will be on your left at 5329 S Frye St.
