Continue on I-196 S for about 12 miles, then take exit 1 for M-63 S toward St. Joseph. Follow M-63 S for about 5 miles until you reach Thornton Dr. Turn left onto Thornton Dr, and the entrance to Grand Mere State Park will be on your left. The total drive should take around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Parking at the park is typically free.
