If you are driving from anywhere in The Lakes Region, head towards US-12 East. Follow US-12 East until you reach the intersection with Lake Street (IN-51) in Gary. Turn left onto Lake Street and continue for about 1 mile. The Indiana Landmarks Northwest Field Office will be located on your right at 541 S Lake St, Gary, IN 46403. There is typically free parking available on the street or nearby.

For public transportation, you can take the South Shore Line train from any station in The Lakes Region towards Chicago. Disembark at the Gary Metro Center station. From there, you can catch the Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) bus route 12, which travels along Lake Street. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 541 S Lake St. The Indiana Landmarks Northwest Field Office will be a short walk from the bus stop. Total fare for the train is approximately $5, and the bus is about $1.50.
