Once at the terminal, look for buses heading to Garut. Make sure to confirm with the ticket seller that the bus goes to Garut. The journey should take approximately 2-3 hours. Once you arrive at Garut's main bus station, you will need to transfer to a smaller local bus or shared minivan that goes to Cisurupan. Look for signs or ask locals for directions to the Cisurupan route. The local bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Karamat Wangi stop, which is the closest point to Gunung Papandayan.

Train and Bus Combination
Start your journey at Bandung's train station (Stasiun Bandung). Purchase a ticket for a train heading to Cianjur or Garut. The train ride to Cianjur takes about 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Cianjur, you will need to take a local bus or a shared minivan to Garut. Once in Garut, transfer to a local bus or minivan heading to Cisurupan. After reaching Cisurupan, get off at Karamat Wangi, the stop closest to Gunung Papandayan.
