From Garut's main bus terminal, look for an angkot heading towards Cisurupan. The fare is about 10,000 IDR. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kawah Papandayan. This part of the journey will take approximately 30 minutes. The angkot will drop you off at the entrance of Kawah Papandayan.

Once you arrive at the entrance of Kawah Papandayan, you will need to walk to the crater area. The walk is about 1.5 kilometers and will take approximately 30 minutes. Follow the clearly marked trail, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be uneven.
