    If you are driving, start your journey from Bandung, which is approximately 3 hours away from Mount Papandayan. Take the Puncak route (Jalan Raya Puncak) towards Cianjur and follow the signs to Garut. Once you reach Garut, head towards Cisurupan. Upon arriving in Cisurupan, follow the signs for Gunung Papandayan. The entrance is located at MPJJ+7C7, Gunung Papandayan, Karamat Wangi, Kec. Cisurupan, Kabupaten Garut. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as the roads can be winding and steep.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Mount Papandayan using public transport, take a bus from Bandung to Garut. Buses leave from the Leuwi Panjang Terminal and the journey will take approximately 2-3 hours. Once in Garut, you may take an angkot (minibus) or a motorcycle taxi to get to Cisurupan. From Cisurupan, you can hire a local driver to take you directly to the entrance of Mount Papandayan. Expect to pay around IDR 50,000 to 100,000 for the angkot ride and the motorcycle taxi fare may vary based on distance.
