Car
If you are driving from Malang, head east on Jalan Raya Tumpang and continue straight until you reach the junction with Jalan Raya Lumajang. Turn right onto Jalan Raya Lumajang and follow the signs towards Lumajang. After approximately 30 km, take the exit towards Pronojiwo and follow the road until you reach Jalan Tumpak Sewu. There are signs pointing to the waterfall along the way. The drive takes around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Parking is available near the entrance, typically costing around IDR 10,000.

Public Transportation
From Malang, take a bus to Lumajang from the Malang bus terminal (Terminal Arjosari). Buses leave frequently and the journey takes about 2 hours. On arriving in Lumajang, you can take a local minibus (angkot) to the Pronojiwo area. Once you reach Pronojiwo, you may need to hire a motorbike taxi (ojek) to take you the remaining distance to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Expect to pay IDR 20,000-30,000 for the ojek ride. The total cost for public transport can be approximately IDR 30,000-50,000.

After parking your car or being dropped off by public transport, you will need to walk approximately 1 km down a steep path to reach the waterfall. It is advisable to wear sturdy shoes and bring water, as the trek can be slippery and challenging. Allow around 30 minutes for the walk down, and be prepared for a longer return journey uphill.
