If you are starting your journey from Labuan Bajo, rent a car and drive towards the east. Follow the main road for approximately 140 km, which will take about 3-4 hours depending on traffic. Keep an eye out for road signs directing you towards Ruteng. Once you reach Ruteng, continue on the road towards Liang Bua, which is approximately 15 km from Ruteng. Look for signs for Liang Bua Cave; the cave is located in the village of Liang Bua, Rahong Utara.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Labuan Bajo, you can take a bus to Ruteng. Buses leave regularly from the main terminal in Labuan Bajo. The journey will take about 4-5 hours and will cost around 50,000 IDR. Once you arrive in Ruteng, you can take a local minibus or ojek (motorcycle taxi) for approximately 20,000 IDR to Liang Bua Cave. The distance is about 15 km, and the journey will take around 30 minutes.
