If you are at Losari Beach, head southeast on Jl. Penghibur towards Jl. Jenderal Sudirman. Continue walking straight for about 1.2 km until you reach the intersection with Jl. Balaikota. Turn right onto Jl. Balaikota, and after about 200 meters, you will see the Museum of Makassar on your left.

From the main city center, find an Angkot (public minivan) that goes towards Jl. Balaikota. Look for route 03, which is headed to Ujung Pandang. Board the Angkot and stay on until you reach the stop near Jl. Balaikota. Get off and walk about 100 meters to your right; the Museum of Makassar will be ahead on the left side.
