Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Tanjung Balai Karimun, take the Jl. Raya Tanjung Balai road heading south. Continue for about 30 km until you reach the junction near Tebing. At the junction, turn left onto Jl. Pongkar. Continue driving for approximately 10 km until you see the signs for Air Terjun Desa Pongkar. There is a small parking area available nearby. Please note that there is an entrance fee of RP2000 per person to access the waterfall.

Public Transportation
From Tanjung Balai Karimun, take a local bus or minivan towards Tebing. Inform the driver that you are going to Pongkar. The fare is approximately RP5000 per person. After reaching the Pongkar area, you may need to take a short motorcycle taxi (ojek) to reach the waterfall, which should cost around RP10000. The motorcycle taxi will take you directly to the entrance of Air Terjun Desa Pongkar. Remember to bring some cash for the entrance fee of RP2000 per person.

Walking
If you are already in the Pongkar area, you can walk to Air Terjun Desa Pongkar from the nearest bus stop or your accommodation. Follow local paths leading towards the waterfall, which is about a 20-minute walk. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes, as the path may be uneven. There is still an entrance fee of RP2000 per person once you reach the waterfall.
