If you are driving a car, start from Mataram, the capital of West Nusa Tenggara. Head south on the Lombok Ring Road (Jalan Raya Lembar) towards Sekotong. Follow the signs to Sekotong until you reach the junction near Lembar Harbor. Continue driving for about 30 minutes until you reach Buwun Mas. Once in Buwun Mas, look for signs pointing to Gili Wayang. Next, you will need to park your car at a designated area near the harbor. Note that parking may incur a small fee.

From Mataram, take a public bus heading to Lembar. Buses depart regularly from the main terminal in Mataram. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and costs around IDR 20,000. Once you arrive at Lembar, transfer to a local bemo (shared mini-van) heading to Sekotong. This ride will take about 30 minutes and should cost around IDR 10,000. After reaching Sekotong, you will need to take a boat from the harbor to Gili Wayang. Boat rides usually cost around IDR 150,000 per person for a round trip, and the duration is about 30 minutes.

For a more comfortable option, consider using a taxi or a ride-hailing service (like Gojek or Grab) from Mataram directly to Buwun Mas. This route is about 1.5 hours long and should cost approximately IDR 200,000 to IDR 300,000, depending on traffic and demand. Once you arrive at Buwun Mas, you will have to arrange a boat ride to Gili Wayang, which costs around IDR 150,000 for a round trip.
