Walking
If you are starting from downtown Dubuque, head west on W 3rd St toward Main St. Continue to follow W 3rd St as it becomes W 3rd St/US-61 S. After about 0.7 miles, turn left onto Locust St and follow it for about 0.5 miles. At the intersection with US-61 S, turn right. You will need to walk about 1.5 miles along US-61 S. After approximately 1.5 miles, look for the intersection with Crystal Lake Cave Rd. Turn left onto Crystal Lake Cave Rd and walk for about 0.8 miles until you reach Crystal Lake Cave, which will be on your right.

Public Transit
Start at the Dubuque Intermodal Transportation Center. Take the Jule Bus service Route 5 towards the Plaza. Get off at the stop at 5th & Main St. Walk to the corner of 5th St and Main St, then transfer to Route 3 towards the Mall. Ride until you reach the stop at the intersection of US-61 S and Crystal Lake Cave Rd. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk (0.8 miles) down Crystal Lake Cave Rd to the cave, which will be on your right.

If you have a bike, start from the Dubuque Riverwalk and head north on the bike path toward the Grand River Center. Continue on the bike path until you reach 1st St, then turn left. Follow 1st St until it becomes W 3rd St. Continue on W 3rd St for about 0.5 miles. Then, turn left onto Locust St and proceed to the intersection with US-61 S. Turn right on US-61 S and bike for about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Crystal Lake Cave Rd and bike for 0.8 miles to reach Crystal Lake Cave, which will be on your right.
