If you are driving from Des Moines, take I-80 E and merge onto I-235 E. Continue on I-235 E for about 10 miles, then take exit 8A for US-65 S toward Carlisle. Merge onto US-65 S and continue for approximately 15 miles. Exit onto IA-163 E toward Pella. After about 10 miles, take the exit toward Prairie City. Follow the signs to Pacific St and turn left onto Pacific St. Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge will be on your left at 9981 Pacific St, Prairie City, IA 50228.
