To reach Dragoon Trail from any point within the Historic Hills Scenic Byway, start by navigating to Highway 163. Head east on Highway 163 until you reach the intersection with I-80. Merge onto I-80 West toward Des Moines. Stay on I-80 for approximately 30 miles. Take exit 137A for US-69 South toward Des Moines. Continue on US-69 South for about 6 miles. Once you reach the intersection with Hartford Ave, turn right. Follow Hartford Ave for about 1 mile until you reach S 22nd Street. Dragoon Trail will be located on the left at the intersection with S 22nd Street. Parking is available nearby.
