Car
From the center of Lake Okoboji, head north on Highway 71 for approximately 6 miles. Continue straight as the highway becomes East Lake Street. After about 1.5 miles, turn left onto Trappers Bay Road. Follow Trappers Bay Road for about 1 mile. The entrance to Trappers Bay State Park will be on your right, at 309 Trappers Bay Rd, Lake Park, IA 51347. There is no entrance fee for the park.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take a bus from the Lake Okoboji area to the nearest bus stop in Lake Park. Once you arrive at the Lake Park bus stop, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service, as the park is approximately 2 miles away from the bus stop. Expect to pay around $10-$15 for the taxi ride. Ensure you check the bus schedule in advance to align your trip.

For those who are feeling adventurous and want to bike, you can rent a bike in Lake Okoboji. Start by heading north on Highway 71, then follow East Lake Street.
