To get to Charles Street in Boston from the center of Newton, start at the Newton City Hall located at 1000 Commonwealth Ave. Walk east on Commonwealth Ave until you reach the intersection with Washington St. Turn right on Washington St and continue straight until you reach the Newton Centre stop on the Green Line (D line). Take the Green Line train towards Kenmore and get off at the Park Street station in downtown Boston. From Park Street, exit the station and walk south on Tremont St. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach Charles Street. The street is located right next to Boston Common, a large park area.

Start your journey at the Newton Centre stop on the Green Line (D line). Board the train heading towards Kenmore. After about 20 minutes, get off at the Park Street station. Upon exiting Park Street, walk south along Tremont St. After approximately 0.3 miles, you will arrive at Charles Street, which is adjacent to Boston Common.
