Getting There

• Car

  From the center of Dubuque, head east on W 1st St toward S Main St. Continue onto US-61 N. After 3 miles, take the exit toward IA-32 E/Bellevue. Merge onto IA-32 E and drive for about 6 miles. Turn left onto Bellevue Heights Rd. Continue for about 1 mile, and you will find the EB Lyons Interpretive Center on your left at 8991 Bellevue Heights Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003.

• Public Transportation

  If you’re using public transportation, start by taking the local bus service (Dubuque Transit) to the nearest bus stop on US-61. From there, you may need to call a taxi or rideshare service to cover the remaining 1.5 miles to the EB Lyons Interpretive Center as public transit may not operate directly to the center. Be prepared for a fare of approximately $10-15 for the taxi or rideshare.

• Bicycle

  For those opting to bike, start in downtown Dubuque and head east on W 1st St. Follow the bike lanes and paths connecting to US-61 N. Continue for about 3 miles until you reach IA-32 E. Turn left onto Bellevue Heights Rd and ride approximately 1 mile, where you'll find the EB Lyons Interpretive Center. The ride is scenic but be cautious of traffic on the main roads.

• Walking

  If you are within walking distance in the nearby neighborhoods, head towards Bellevue Heights Rd. It’s approximately a 1.5-mile walk from the nearest residential area. Follow Bellevue Heights Rd directly to the EB Lyons Interpretive Center, which is located at 8991 Bellevue Heights Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003. Keep in mind to wear appropriate footwear as the road can be uneven in places.
