From downtown Sioux City, head south on Floyd Boulevard. Chris Larsen City Park will be on your left, just past the Sergeant Floyd River Museum. The walk is approximately 1 mile and should take about 20 minutes. There are sidewalks along Floyd Boulevard for pedestrian access.

Sioux City Transit buses serve the area near Chris Larsen City Park. Check the Sioux City Transit website or app for the most up-to-date route information and schedules. From the Martin Luther King Jr. Transportation Center, several routes will get you within a short walking distance of the park. A one-way fare is $1.80 for adults. Seniors (62+) and people with disabilities pay $0.90. Beginning July 1, 2025, payments using a credit/debit card will be charged 2.95% of the payment amount, or $1.00, whichever is greater.
