From any location within Big Sioux Recreation Area, head southwest on the main park road towards the exit. Continue to follow the signs for SD-11 South. Merge onto SD-11 South and follow it for approximately 15 miles. You will cross into Iowa. After crossing the state line, continue on SD-11, which becomes IA-12. Follow IA-12 for about 3 miles until you see the sign for Big Sioux Park. Turn right into the park entrance. There are no tolls on this route, but check for any local parking fees at the park.
