    From Urbandale, locate the nearest bus stop serving the Des Moines Area Regional Transit (DART) system. Board DART Route 60 (Urbandale to Des Moines) at any accessible stop. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes until you reach the 'George Flagg Parkway & Park Ave' stop. Once you disembark, walk south on George Flagg Parkway for about 0.5 miles. The entrance to Des Moines Water Works Park will be on your right.

    If you prefer to bike, start from any central location in Urbandale and head towards the Des Moines Trail System. Follow the trail southward, connecting to the Greenbelt Trail. Continue cycling on the trail until you reach the intersection with George Flagg Parkway. Turn right on George Flagg Parkway and follow it south for about 1 mile. Des Moines Water Works Park will be on your right-hand side.
