Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from downtown Waterloo, head east on 4th Street towards Sycamore Street. Continue walking for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection of 4th Street and Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and follow it north until you reach the Cedar River. Cross the river using the pedestrian bridge. Once you are on the other side, continue walking straight until you reach Center Street. Turn right onto Center Street, and you will find the Ice House Museum at 121 Center St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613, approximately 0.5 miles down the road.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  From downtown Waterloo, locate the nearest bus stop and take the Cedar Valley Transit bus route that heads towards Cedar Falls. Make sure to check the schedule for the nearest bus time. You will want to get off at the stop closest to Main Street in Cedar Falls. After disembarking, walk north on Main Street until you reach the Cedar River. Cross the river using the pedestrian bridge, then continue straight until you reach Center Street. Turn right onto Center Street, and the Ice House Museum will be on your right at 121 Center St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613.

• Biking

  If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike in downtown Waterloo. Start by heading east on 4th Street, then turn left onto Main Street. Follow Main Street north until you reach the Cedar River. Use the bike path along the river which leads to the pedestrian bridge. After crossing the bridge, continue straight until you reach Center Street. Turn right onto Center Street, and the Ice House Museum at 121 Center St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613 will be on your right.
