Cappella Magna, located in Waterloo, Iowa, offers a one-of-a-kind experience, transporting visitors to the Vatican without leaving the Midwest. This unique venue is home to a stunning, floor-to-ceiling replica of the Sistine Chapel, meticulously recreated by Bosnian-born, Waterloo artist Paco Rosic using over 5,000 cans of spray paint. Rosic, known for his aerosol and mural work, transformed the space, formerly known as Galleria de Paco, into an artistic masterpiece. Cappella Magna serves as an event venue, art gallery, and lounge, accommodating up to 68 guests in the main hall and an additional 50 in the bar area. The venue is available for weddings, corporate events, anniversary parties, and other special occasions. Originally a restaurant, Galleria de Paco, closed in May 2020 due to pandemic-related restrictions. It reopened in October 2021 as Cappella Magna, shifting its focus to an event space while retaining its artistic charm and unique atmosphere.
