From Sulaymaniyah city center, a taxi is the most convenient way to reach Ahmad Awa. Taxis are readily available throughout the city. The ride to Ahmad Awa is approximately 30 kilometers east on the Sulaymaniyah - Zalm Road. Inform the driver you wish to go to Ahmad Awa near Zalm. The approximate cost is $14.5 USD.
Public Transport
Alternatively, from Sulaymaniyah, take a shared taxi or minibus heading towards Zalm. The journey typically takes around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. Once in Zalm, a local taxi can take you the remaining few kilometers to Ahmad Awa. The shared taxi/minibus fare to Zalm is approximately 20,000 IQD ($15 USD).
Car
If driving from Sulaymaniyah, head east on the Sulaymaniyah - Zalm Road for about 30 kilometers. Follow signs towards Zalm. As you approach Zalm, follow the coordinates 838R+W4. Parking is available near Ahmad Awa.
