    If driving from Erbil, take the Erbil to Soran road (Route 1) and follow the signs to Rawanduz. The journey is approximately 70 km and takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Rawanduz, follow signs to Bekhal Waterfalls. Parking is available near the entrance, with fees typically ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 IQD.

    Public Transport

    To reach Bekhal Waterfalls via public transport, take a shared taxi or minibus from Erbil to Soran. These depart regularly from the main taxi station in Erbil for around 3,000 IQD. From Soran, take another shared taxi to Rawanduz for about 1,000 IQD. Upon arriving in Rawanduz, hire a local taxi to Bekhal Waterfalls for approximately 10,000 IQD. Confirm the taxi fare before starting your journey.

    If you are already in Rawanduz, you can walk to Bekhal Waterfalls, a scenic trek of about 4 km. Follow the main road towards the waterfalls, and you will find trails that lead directly to the site. Ensure you wear comfortable walking shoes, as some paths may be uneven.
