Ferry from Doolin to Inisheer
To reach Chris’ Orchard, first make your way to Doolin, County Clare. From Doolin, you can catch a ferry to Inisheer, one of the Aran Islands. Ferries operate regularly, and it is advisable to check the schedule in advance. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the ferry terminal, and prices may vary, typically around €25 for a round trip.
Walking from Inisheer Ferry Terminal
Once you arrive at the Inisheer Ferry Terminal, disembark and head towards the village. Chris’ Orchard is located approximately 1.5 kilometers from the terminal. You can walk along the main path leading into Baile An Lurgain. Follow the signs towards the local attractions; Chris’ Orchard is well-marked. The walk will take roughly 20-30 minutes.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer not to walk, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops near the ferry terminal. Bicycles can be rented for about €10-€15 per day. Cycling to Chris’ Orchard is a great way to see the island, and the route is relatively flat and scenic.
