    From Athlone, head to the Athlone bus station located on Church Street. Take the Bus Éireann Route 20 towards Kinnitty. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Kinnitty, disembark at the Kinnitty Village stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers. Head east on the Main Street, then take a left onto The Walk. Follow The Walk until you reach Slieve Bloom Mountain Bike Centre, which will be on your right.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Athlone. Start from the town center and head towards the Old Rail Trail. Follow the trail heading southeast towards Kinnitty. The total distance is approximately 25 kilometers and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your cycling speed. Once you reach Kinnitty, follow the directions to The Walk to reach Slieve Bloom Mountain Bike Centre.

    If you enjoy hiking and have a full day, you can walk from Athlone to Kinnitty. Start from the center of Athlone and head southeast towards the River Shannon. Follow the riverside path and then connect to the Old Rail Trail. This route is approximately 25 kilometers long and will take around 5 to 6 hours. Once in Kinnitty, walk along the Main Street to The Walk, where Slieve Bloom Mountain Bike Centre is located.
