Athlone Guided Tours commence at the front of Athlone Castle, adjacent to the Market Square. If you are arriving from the Athlone Train Station, walk south along the main road (R446) for approximately 500m. Cross the bridge over the River Shannon, and Athlone Castle will be immediately visible on your left. The meeting point is in front of the castle entrance. Walking from the Golden Island Shopping Centre, head southwest towards the town center, crossing the bridge over the Shannon. The castle is a short walk from the bridge. Parking is available on Market Square, Main Street, and Barrack Street, though availability may be limited.
