Children receive a bag of food to feed friendly residents like goats, sheep, emus, donkeys, cows, and llamas. You can also get up close to more unusual creatures such as monkeys, wallabies, meerkats, and parrots. The farm is particularly known for its baby animals, including chicks, rabbits, guinea pigs, and puppies, which visitors can often pet and even hold.Beyond the animals, Glendeer offers a range of activities and attractions.     Glendeer Pet Farm is located in Curryroe, approximately 8km west of Athlone. From Athlone town, follow the signs for Galway until you reach the M6 (Athlone bypass). Take Exit 13 (Tuam/Monksland). At the roundabout, take the second exit towards Ballydangan, then at the next roundabout, take the first exit towards Ballydangan. Take the next right turn; the farm is 3km up the road on the left. Parking is available on-site. There are no tolls on this route.
