By Car
If you are traveling by car from any location in the Beara Peninsula, head towards the N71 road. Follow the N71 towards Skibbereen. After approximately 45 minutes of driving, you will arrive at Skibbereen. Look for Upper Bridge Street; the Skibbereen Heritage Centre is located at the Old Gasworks Building on this street. There is street parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees or time restrictions.

By Public Transportation
To reach Skibbereen Heritage Centre using public transportation, look for a bus service that operates from towns in the Beara Peninsula to Skibbereen. Bus Éireann operates services that connect various towns. You will need to check the bus schedules, as they may vary. Once you arrive at Skibbereen bus station, it is a short walk to the Heritage Centre. Walk along the main street towards Upper Bridge Street. The Centre is located at the Old Gasworks Building.

Walking from Skibbereen Bus Station
If you arrive at the Skibbereen bus station, exit the station and head towards the main street. Turn left and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will see signs pointing towards Upper Bridge Street. Continue walking until you reach the Old Gasworks Building, which houses the Skibbereen Heritage Centre. The walk is mostly flat and straightforward.
