Getting There

• Car

  From the Cliffs of Moher visitor center, head southeast on L1432 towards Liscannor for about 4 kilometers. Turn left onto the R478 and continue for about 9 kilometers until you reach the junction with the N67. Turn right onto N67 and follow it for approximately 8 kilometers. When you reach the village of Kilmurry, take a left onto the road signposted for Craggaunowen. Continue for about 1 kilometer and you will see Craggaunowen Castle & Crannóg on your left. Parking is available on site, and there may be a small fee.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Craggaunowen Castle & Crannóg from the Cliffs of Moher using public transport, first, take a bus from the Cliffs of Moher visitor center to Ennistymon. From Ennistymon, you will need to catch a bus to Kilmurry. The local bus service may not be very frequent, so check the timetable in advance. Once you arrive in Kilmurry, you can either walk (about 20 minutes) or take a taxi to Craggaunowen, which is located approximately 2 kilometers from the village. Be mindful of bus schedules as services may vary.

• Taxi

  If you prefer not to drive or use public transport, you can hire a taxi from the Cliffs of Moher directly to Craggaunowen Castle & Crannóg. The journey is approximately 25 minutes and should cost around €30-€40 depending on the taxi service. It is advisable to book the taxi in advance, especially during peak tourist seasons.
