Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, take the N85 road towards Ennis. Once you reach Ennis, continue on the N68 towards Kilrush. After approximately 15km, you'll connect to the R478, which will lead you directly to the Cliffs of Moher. The entrance is well-marked, and there's ample parking available at the visitor center. Note that there is a parking fee of around €10 for cars.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach the Cliffs of Moher by public transport, you can catch a bus from Ennis or Galway. The bus service 'Bus Éireann' operates routes that go directly to the Cliffs of Moher. From Ennis, take the 350 Bus to Doolin, which stops at the Cliffs of Moher. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately €10 one way. Make sure to check the bus timetable for return services, as they may vary.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from nearby towns like Ennis or Doolin. This option can be more expensive, with fares typically ranging from €30 to €50 depending on your starting point. It's advisable to agree on a fare before starting your journey or ensure the taxi operates on a meter.

• Walking or Cycling

  For the adventurous, walking or cycling from Doolin to the Cliffs of Moher is a popular option. The distance is approximately 8 kilometers along scenic paths. There are designated walking trails with beautiful views along the way, and it usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to walk. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water, as there are no facilities along the route.
