Continue for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the crossroads. Parking is available in a lay-by just before the crossroads, but it can be limited, especially during peak season. Parking is free. Be mindful of narrow roads.
Public Transport
To reach Gortlecka Crossroads via public transport, take a Bus Éireann service from Ennis or Galway to Lisdoonvarna. From Lisdoonvarna, the most practical option is to take a taxi to Gortlecka Crossroads, as there is no direct public transport. The taxi ride is approximately 10-15 minutes and costs around €15-€25, depending on negotiation.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, it's possible to walk to Gortlecka Crossroads from Lisdoonvarna. The distance is approximately 5 km. From the bus station in Lisdoonvarna, head east on the N67 road. After about 2 km, turn right onto the Unnamed Road and continue for another 3 km until you reach the crossroads. Ensure you wear comfortable walking shoes and check the weather forecast before setting out.
