Driving
Loop Head Lighthouse is located at the end of the Loop Head Peninsula, approximately 30 minutes from Kilkee. From Kilkee, follow the R487. The drive offers stunning coastal views. Free parking is available at the lighthouse. Be aware that the roads leading to Loop Head can be narrow. Allow extra travel time.
Public Transport
You can take a train to Limerick or Ennis, then a bus to Kilkee or Kilrush. From Kilkee or Kilrush, the TFI Local Link Limerick Clare Route 339 serves Loop Head Lighthouse twice daily. Cash, TFI Go, and TFI Leap cards are accepted. Check the Local Link website for the most up-to-date schedule and fare information. Taxi transfers can also be arranged from Kilkee or Kilrush. Taxi fare would be approximately €40-€50.
