    The Pinnacle Well is located on the R477 coast road near Gleninagh Castle. From the castle, walk north along the R477 for approximately 1 km (0.6 miles). The well is easily visible from the road. There are no footpaths, so exercise caution. No costs are associated with walking.

  • Public Transport

    The nearest bus stop is in Ballyvaughan, approximately 8 km (5 miles) south of the Pinnacle Well. From Ballyvaughan, take Bus Éireann route 350 towards Doolin/Ennis. Ask the driver to let you off near Gleninagh Castle. From there, follow the walking directions. A single adult fare from Ballyvaughan to the Gleninagh Castle area is approximately €4. The walk from the drop-off point to the well is about 1 km (0.6 miles).

  • Driving

    From Ballyvaughan, drive north on the R477 towards Fanore. Continue for approximately 8 km (5 miles). The Pinnacle Well is located directly beside the road on the right-hand side, just past Gleninagh Castle. Limited free parking is available on the verge. Be mindful of other road users when parking. There are no tolls on this route.
