Follow the signs, and you will find the Killaghtee Old Church, Cemetery, and Ancient Stone Slab Cross located at Beaugreen Glebe, Co. Donegal. There is ample parking available near the site.

The church was taken over by the Establishment in 1654 under the Plantation and was is use as a place of Christian worship by the Protestant community up until 1720 when a new church at Church Lane Dunkineely was completed. The cemetery surrounding the church tells stories of generations past, with gravestones dating back to 1709. The Killaghtee Cross, dating back to around 650 AD, marks the grave of an early monk, St. Aedh, who had a 'cell' for prayer and contemplation there. The Maltese cross carving on the head of the cross is still visible, along with a barely discernible triple knot carving representing the Holy Trinity. The Killaghtee Cross marks the transition from flat grave slabs to upright Celtic crosses.
