If you're starting from Kilkenny's city center at the Market Cross, head south on High Street towards the castle. Continue straight until you reach the castle gates. Once you arrive at Kilkenny Castle, walk around the castle to the left side, where you will find the entrance to the Rose Garden. The garden is located at Dukesmeadows, just behind the castle.

If you are near the Kilkenny Bus Station, take the local bus heading towards the Kilkenny Castle. You can ask the bus driver to notify you when you reach the stop nearest to Kilkenny Castle. Once you get off the bus, follow the path leading to the castle entrance, and then walk around to the left side to access the Rose Garden.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Kilkenny. From the rental location, head towards the castle by following the bike paths through the city. As you approach the castle, look for signs directing you to the garden. Park your bike at the castle bike rack and continue on foot to the Rose Garden, which is located just behind the castle.
