After approximately 10 km, take the exit for the R202 towards Ballinamore. Continue on the R202 for about 12 km until you reach the junction with the R202-1. Turn left onto the R202-1 and follow the signs for Aghavoghil. Glenaniff is located on an unnamed road just off the R202-1. The scenic views along the way make for an enjoyable drive.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Carrick-on-Shannon to Ballinamore. Bus Eireann operates this route and you can check their schedule online for times, as service may be limited. Once you arrive in Ballinamore, you will need to arrange for a taxi to Glenaniff, as public transport does not go directly to this location. The taxi ride should take about 15-20 minutes, and expect to pay around €20-€25 for the fare.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and are staying nearby, you can walk from Aghavoghil to Glenaniff. From the village of Aghavoghil, head west on the unnamed road. It’s about a 3 km walk, which should take approximately 40-50 minutes. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of County Leitrim as you make your way to Glenaniff.
