If you are traveling by car, start from Sligo town. Head south on the N4 and continue for about 10 km. Take the exit for the R292 towards Cliffoney/Strandhill. Follow the R292 for approximately 8 km until you reach the junction with the R261. Turn right onto the R261 and continue for about 3 km. Look for the sign for Castle Classiebawn Viewpoint on your right. There is a parking area at the viewpoint, and parking is free.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Sligo town to Cliffoney. Bus services such as Bus Éireann operate routes that connect Sligo to Cliffoney. Once you reach Cliffoney, you will need to walk approximately 4 km to Castle Classiebawn Viewpoint. To do this, head southwest on the R261 road until you reach the viewpoint. Walking
If you are already in Cliffoney and prefer walking, the Castle Classiebawn Viewpoint is approximately a 4 km walk away. Follow the R261 road heading southwest. The walk is along a scenic route, so be sure to enjoy the views along the way. It should take you about 50 minutes to walk there. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.
