If you are driving, start by navigating to Glendalough, which is well signposted from major roads in County Wicklow. From Dublin, take the N11 southbound and follow the signs for the R756 towards Glendalough. When you arrive in Glendalough, look for the signs to the Upper Lake Car Park. Park your car here (please note that parking fees may apply, which can range from €4 to €8 depending on the duration of your stay). From the car park, follow the walking path towards the Upper Lake, and you will find St. Kevin's Bed located on the hillside. The walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes, and it's advisable to wear comfortable shoes.
Public Transportation
For those traveling by public transport, take a bus from Dublin to Glendalough. The 133 bus departs from Dublin's city center and takes about 1.5 hours to reach Glendalough. Once at the Glendalough bus stop, you will need to walk to the Upper Lake Car Park, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. Follow the signs toward the Upper Lake and enjoy the scenic views on your way. After reaching the car park, continue on the walking path to St. Kevin's Bed, which should take an additional 20-30 minutes.

If you are already in Glendalough and wish to walk, you can start from the Glendalough Visitor Centre. From the Visitor Centre, head towards the Upper Lake, following the marked trails. The walk to St. Kevin's Bed will take about 30-40 minutes. The path can be uneven, so ensure you wear proper footwear and bring water for your hike.
