Walking
If you are in the Dublin city center, start at O'Connell Street, which is a major thoroughfare. Head south towards the River Liffey and cross the O'Connell Bridge. Once across the bridge, turn right onto Sausage Lane and continue straight until you reach the junction with Castle Street. Turn left onto Castle Street, and after a short walk, you will see Dublin Castle on your right.
Public Transport (Bus)
From any central location, find the nearest bus stop and take any bus heading towards 'Dame Street' or 'Lord Edward Street'. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'Dame Street' stop. From there, walk towards the end of Dame Street and turn left onto Castle Street. Dublin Castle will be directly ahead.
Tram (LUAS)
If you're near a LUAS tram stop, take the Red Line tram towards 'Sandyford' and get off at 'Abbey Street'. From Abbey Street, walk south towards O'Connell Bridge, cross the bridge, and then continue as follows: turn right onto Sausage Lane, walk straight until you reach Castle Street, then turn left. Dublin Castle will be ahead on your right.
Taxi
If you prefer a taxi, simply flag one down or use a ride-hailing app. Provide the driver with the address 'Dublin Castle, Castle Street, Dublin 2'. The journey should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic, and the driver will drop you off right at the entrance.
