Walking
From the center of Ennis, head south on O'Connell Street. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the end of the street. Take the second exit onto the R458, which is known as the Limerick Road. Follow this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the village of Adare. Once in Adare, look for signs directing you to Desmond Castle, which is located on Ashgrove. The castle is a short walk from the main village area.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Ennis, walk to the bus station located on Station Road. Look for the bus service heading towards Limerick; several buses run this route. Make sure to check the schedule for the next available bus. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach Adare. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. After getting off the bus in Adare, walk towards the village center and follow the signs for Desmond Castle, located on Ashgrove.
