From Ennis town center, walk to the bus station located on Station Road. Look for the bus service heading towards Kilfenora or the Burren area. Buses to Poulnabrone Dolmen typically run a few times a day, so check the schedule at the station or online. Once on the bus, tell the driver you want to get off at Poulnabrone. The dolmen is a short walk from the bus stop, approximately 500 meters away.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Ennis. Start your ride from the town center and head west towards the N85. Continue on the N85 until you reach the junction with the R480. Turn left onto R480 and follow the signs for Poulnabrone Dolmen. The ride is about 15 km and will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Be cautious of traffic along the route and enjoy the scenery of the Burren.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and in good shape, you can walk to Poulnabrone Dolmen. Start from Ennis town center and follow the N85 heading northwest. This is a long walk of approximately 15 km, which may take around 3-4 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. As you walk, you will enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Be sure to take care with traffic, as parts of the road do not have sidewalks.
