Walking
From the center of Ennis, head northwest on O'Connell Street towards the River Fergus. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Bindon Street. Turn right onto Bindon Street. Follow Bindon Street until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto the R458, which is the road towards Derreen. After approximately 3 kilometers, keep an eye out for signage indicating St Brigid's Well. The well is located a short distance off the main road, so be prepared to walk a bit into the countryside to find it.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Ennis and cycle northwest on O'Connell Street. Continue on to Bindon Street and follow it to the roundabout. Take the second exit onto the R458 towards Derreen. This route is approximately 3 kilometers long. Upon reaching Derreen, look for signs to St Brigid's Well. Park your bicycle safely and walk the short distance to the well.
Public Transport
From Ennis, take a bus heading towards Kilrush. Check the local bus schedule for the latest routes. You will need to disembark at a stop near Derreen. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs to St Brigid's Well, which will be a short walk away. It's advisable to ask the bus driver or locals for the exact stop nearest to St Brigid's Well to ensure you get off at the right place.
