From the city center of Galway, head to the main bus station, Bus Éireann on Fairgreen Road. Take the bus route 423 or 424 towards Headford, which runs frequently. The journey should take about 30 minutes. After approximately 20 minutes, ask the driver to let you know when to get off for Ballindooley Castle, which is near the N84 Headford Road. The stop you need is called "Ballindooley Castle". Once you get off the bus, the castle is a short walk away.

Start from the city center and head north towards the River Corrib. Follow the cycle path along the river until you reach the N84 Headford Road. Turn right onto N84 and continue cycling for about 5 kilometers. Ballindooley Castle will be on your right side. Keep an eye out for signage indicating the castle.

From the city center, walk towards the River Corrib and follow the riverwalk until you reach Quay Street. Continue along Quay Street, which will lead you towards the N84. Turn left onto N84 Headford Road and walk for about 5 kilometers. Ballindooley Castle will be on your right side. The walk may take around 1 hour, so wear comfortable shoes.
