Car
From Glendalough, head southwest on the R756 road. Continue straight for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with the N11. Turn right onto the N11 heading towards Dublin. After approximately 20 kilometers, take the exit towards the R118. Continue on the R118 for about 5 kilometers, then turn left onto the R119. Follow the R119 which will take you directly into Sandycove. Look for signs to Sandycove beach, as this will guide you to the main area.
Public Transportation
From Glendalough, walk to the nearest bus stop located near the Glendalough Visitor Centre (about a 5-minute walk). Take the Bus Eireann Route 133 towards Dublin. Ride for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Dún Laoghaire station. From there, transfer to the DART train service heading south towards Bray. Disembark at the Sandycove & Glasthule station. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs toward Sandycove beach, which is just a short 10-minute walk away.
