If you are in the main Glendalough visitor area, start by heading towards the Upper Lake. Follow the signs directing you to the Glendalough Monastic Site. As you walk, you will pass beautiful scenery and historical landmarks. The Glendalough Roundtower is a short walk from the Upper Lake, approximately 10-15 minutes on foot. Once you reach the Monastic Site, you will see the Roundtower standing tall among the ruins.

If you are coming from Dublin, you can take the 133 bus from Dublin to Glendalough. Once you arrive at the Glendalough bus stop, follow the walking path signs to the Monastic Site. The Roundtower is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop. Ensure you check the bus schedule for return times to Dublin to plan your visit accordingly.

If you are driving, take the N11 from Dublin towards Wicklow. Exit at the R755 and follow the signs for Glendalough. There are parking facilities available near the visitor center.
