Car
If you are driving, start from the Glendalough Visitor Centre. Head southeast on the R755 road. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will reach a junction. Turn left onto the R756. Continue for about 3 kilometers until you reach Knockfin. The Gateway will be on your right side, look for a sign indicating the historical landmark. Parking may be available nearby, but check for any signage regarding parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach The Gateway using public transportation, you can take a bus from Dublin to Glendalough. Once you arrive at Glendalough, head towards the Glendalough Visitor Centre. From there, you can walk to The Gateway. The route involves walking southeast on the R755 for approximately 2 kilometers, then turning left onto the R756. Continue for about 3 kilometers until you see The Gateway on your right. Ensure that you wear comfortable shoes for the walk, as it may take around 30 to 40 minutes.

If you are already in Glendalough and prefer to walk, start at the Glendalough Visitor Centre. From the Visitor Centre, walk southeast along the R755 road for about 2 kilometers. When you reach the junction, turn left onto the R756. Continue walking for another 3 kilometers, keeping an eye out for The Gateway, which will be on your right. This scenic walk takes about 40 minutes, so enjoy the beautiful surroundings as you go.
