Walking
If you are in the heart of Kilkenny, start at the Kilkenny Castle. Exit the castle grounds and head east onto the Castle Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with High Street. Turn left onto High Street and walk towards the Market Cross. Continue walking straight until you reach Castlecomer Road. At this point, turn right and walk along Castlecomer Road. You will see Parliament Street ahead. Turn left onto Parliament Street, and continue walking until you reach Rothe House & Garden at 16 Parliament Street, which will be on your right. Look for the entrance that leads into the gardens.

Public Transport
From the Kilkenny train station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located outside. Take the local bus service that goes towards the city center. You can ask the driver to let you off at the stop closest to High Street. Once you get off, walk towards the Market Cross and then follow High Street straight until it intersects with Castlecomer Road. Turn right on Castlecomer Road, then left onto Parliament Street. Rothe House & Garden will be located on your right at 16 Parliament Street.
