If you are in the city center, make your way to O'Connell Street, which is the main thoroughfare. Head south on O'Connell Street towards the River Shannon. As you reach the river, take a right onto the pedestrian bridge, known as the Sarsfield Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Clancy's Strand. Follow Clancy's Strand until you reach the end of the road where it meets the pedestrian area of Nicholas Street. King John's Castle will be on your left, located right at the corner of Nicholas Street.

Locate the nearest bus stop serving the city center. Take any bus that heads towards the 'King John's Castle' stop, which is usually signposted. Once you disembark at the stop, walk towards Nicholas Street. King John's Castle will be a short walk from the bus stop, located along Nicholas Street on your right.

If you have access to a bicycle, head towards the River Shannon and follow the riverside path towards King John's Castle. Start from O'Connell Street and cycle south along the river, enjoying the scenic views. Continue until you reach the pedestrian area of Nicholas Street, where King John's Castle will be located on your left side.

You can easily hail a taxi from any point in Limerick. Simply request the driver to take you to King John's Castle, located at Nicholas Street, Englishtown. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the castle, and from there, you can explore the area on foot.
