If you are starting from the city center, head south on O'Connell Street towards the River Shannon. Cross the river via Sarsfield Bridge. Once across, turn left and follow the river path until you reach the next bridge, the Shannon Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight on. You will see the Cathedral on your left as you approach Cathedral Place. The cathedral is located at Cathedral Pl, Irishtown, Limerick, V94 H521.

From the Milk Market area, head north on Henry Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with O'Connell Street. Turn right onto O'Connell Street and follow it south towards the River Shannon. Cross the Sarsfield Bridge, then turn left along the riverbank. Follow the river until you reach Shannon Bridge, cross it, and continue straight. The cathedral will be on your left as you approach Cathedral Place.

If you are near the Limerick City Gallery of Art, exit onto Pery Square and head south on Glentworth Street. Continue until you reach O'Connell Street, and turn left. Proceed south towards the River Shannon. Cross Sarsfield Bridge, turn left along the river, and then cross Shannon Bridge. Continue straight, and St John's Cathedral will be on your left at Cathedral Pl.
